Carol Reed 3 - The forgotten dead
the third review of Carol Reed series, I must not try to tell me everything . repeat Therefore, I will not mention again the graphic style, because this has not changed since the debut episode. The plot sprayed facing new creative ideas and areas to which I will deal more intensively.
In the house of strange things happen Solvig Lindberg. The owner performs eerie noises and discovered additional traces that point to an uninvited guest. Haunted it in the old building, or simply makes an intruder to tamper with their property? Solvig is perplexed and tells the press that she knows no one who can accept this story. Well, if Solvig private investigator is not, the private eye just to get Solvig. Since Reed is now her friend Lovisa has bought the apartment, they can indulge in peace this mysterious case, by the way, full of surprises. The trail eventually leads them back in the early 1940s. By found photos, letters and other materials, such as it arrives the former "Institute of Racial Biology". The investigation proves to be quite extensive.
Many new characters to pave our adventure, but also familiar faces appear more on: Catherine, the stand-Dame, the slant, but sympathetic caretaker, and the sexton, who probably deliberately lacking in any episode so far. Here we meet him in the herb garden, where he pursues only a leisure activity. The meeting is apparently more fateful, than randomly, as seen in the dialogues between Reed and the gardener and an invitation to tea drinking can close. The subtle love story, however, does not interfere the story from, nor makes an artificially forced impression, which is often in such situations in adventure games of the case. "The Forgotten Dead" is not only exciting but also has a surprisingly large amount of information that expands on the wide range of areas: history, architecture, biology, culture. We visit the Museum of Design, or do not have some of the main plot-related sidequests for the gardener, such as assigning signs to the proper plants (leave this and other puzzles but skip if needed!). The colorful landscapes, still dominate, but in Lindberg's house, it goes places dark and it has created a slightly creepy atmosphere that was backed by the right music. The difficulty level has also risen sharply and it is demanded significantly more. When something turns out poorly the translation, said in all parts was a problem before. And by that I mean not only that the English title "Time Stands Still" is far more meaningful, but also that the lines that description from the original remaining synchronization, in part represent an almost embarrassing German. By the way, was Jonathan Boakes, the man behind "Dark Fall" and "The Lost Crown, a voice, which the Swedish indie game enjoys great prominence. 
The plot of "The Forgotten Dead" is compared with its predecessors, still outstanding. make the diversity of ideas and the typical atmosphere of Carol Reed is a worthwhile thriller-adventure. Producer: MDNA Games
